This tour was incredible, we were able to tour the aviation area that is home to the HMX-1! This is the helicopter squadron that is responsible for supporting the President on the main side of Marine Base Quantico, First Lady and Vice President. Anywhere the president goes, HMX-1 is there, either in a support mission or lift mission. We all had to pass a clearance to even be on the grounds even though it is still part of the base we live on. A big shout out to Master Gunnery Sgt Brown from our class for setting this up!
