This morning we had the honor of attending an enrichment guest speaker in the auditorium. His name was Lt. Brian Murphy, he was the 1st responding officer to a mass shooting at the Sikh Temple shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin in 2012. He was shot 11 times by a determined subject and fought to survive, even when his gun was shot out of his hand. His story of courage, bravery, leadership was incredible. His message is simple: train for battle, never give up and stay in the fight against all odds. Sorry the photos weren't better. Click the link below for more information about the massacre.

Tonight Cynthia Lewis who instructs the Effective Writing and Public Speaking classes invited both classes to her house in Fredricksberg (30 min south of Quantico). She really put out a delicious spread of food: hot wings, meatballs, dips and lots of great home made desserts. She is an amazing teacher and a great host, it was great to get off base and enjoy a home cooked meal! It was truly appreciated to all who came.
